Seems you can get The Stainless Steel Rat in eBook form for free (the first of the series, published in 1961). I quite enjoyed this series when I was a voracious reader of science fiction as a youngster. Harry Harrison was one of my favorite authors (he wrote Make Room! Make Room!, the story that Soylent Green was based on).
Think I will add this to my pile of things to read.
