canion OK - now you got me wondering about Aussie terms again. When I hear "bowser", I think of a fuel truck - like a tanker filling an aircraft. In the US, the common term is "gas pump", even though it should really be "gas dispenser", as the pump is in the underground tank, and the thing with the hose is the "dispenser". So we have "I need to fill up" or "I need to get some gas" - that is about all this old man can think of, I am sure there are regional and generational differences, as well.
So - hit me with all the Aussie slang for getting petrol - I am all ears!
