New Studio Displays

So who’s upgrading their Studio Displays? Only AUD$6000! Seems crazy expensive for what? An extra 60hz and mini LEDs.

nick Definitely not. I have 2 and they will not be swapped unless they explode. I have never noticed or cared about them being 60Hz.

The 60Hz on the Studio Display is actually what convinced me to go with the MacBook Air that I'm using now. I was initially concerned about going from the MacBook Pro with Pro Motion to the MacBook Air, but then realized that with the MacBook Pro 99% of my usage was on the studio display anyway. So clearly 60Hz was perfectly acceptable.

jason I use one on my Mac Mini, but when I use my MacBook Pro I do notice the 120hz display there. Not enough to really care about it but it's one of those "nice to have" features on the studio display. But not at that price!! One could get a M5 Max macbook pro for the same price!

And it looks like the 'base model' studio display got some minor updates too, to the webcam and speakers. No need to upgrade at all.
