You know, I'm something of a Podcaster myself...
I had a podcast in the web 2.0 times and I am now thinking of doing another. I can't remember how I did the RSS-thing back then, and I want to have some sort of push-to-Fediverse functionality with it.

I have an oldschool cgi- and php-only webhoster, so Castopod looks like a good tool for me:

fihu I have! I set up an instance as a test for moving our main Hemispheric Views feed away from fireside.

Aspart of this test, I tried moving two others:

Moving the One Prime Plus feed from Supercast https://podcast.silo.sh/@OnePrimePlus
Moving 3x2 from Pinecast https://podcast.silo.sh/@3x2/episodes

Since One Prime Plus has user management, I have not completed that migration yet, but SOON! 3x2 is fully migrated now and only only Castopod.

Overall I think it's super nice. It's a little quirky, but it's also not $10+ a month. I would say it's definitely worth a try, and really one of your only real solutions for turnkey.
